4 inch Rato 212cc 7hp Gas Engine Powered Wood Chipper with Towbar; Model GS650 PRE-ORDER

Arrived one week after ordering, packed well in wood shipping container. Easy to assemble with two people, possible to assemble with one person with extra time. Started 2nd pull. Over 200 lbs but tires and decent clearance allow it to roll over obstructions and rocks on property. It does a great job on limbs less than 3”. 3-4” limbs require a bit of finesse but it will get through them. The infeed hopper opens easily to clear jambs. Chips are nice and small, better quality than what we’re used to with larger (6-9”) chipper/shredders. We purchased this chipper to avoid dragging limbs to the road for chipper crews (and haul chips back onto paths on our property). We are very happy with this purchase.

Have not completed assembly. The parts appear rugged and well made and I expect this machine to perform accordingly.

Perfect size for my 5 acre plot. Assembly was straight-forward. Unit is well-balanced once assembled and tows easily behind my ATV. Unit starts with 1 pull and easily devours up to 3" pine, oak and beech. Anything bigger, it will chew up, but you'll want to manually feed that stuff in by hand. The small stuff, just drop in the chute, and the unit pulls it in on its on. Overall, very happy!

Timely delivery. Easy assembly and fired up 1st time. gets a little bogged down with 4 inch limbs, but great tool to have around the property.
