I was hesitant to order the skidding winch because I was not familiar with MechMaxx. The winch arrived in a reasonable amount of time (a couple of weeks). Once it arrived, I was pleased with everything about it. Well constructed heavy steel, excellent powder coating, sturdy crating, looks to have heavy enough components. So far I have only tested it on one log (3000 lb. Pine). It recommended that you unwind the cable and rewind it with a little force on it for the first use. Overall, I am happy with all the initial things about it. Time will tell how it holds up.
