Great chipper. The chipper is one of the most convenient yet overlooked tools on the homestead. It turned a huge pile of scraps into a miniscule pile that I can use for certain projects.

I can say that the it is a lifesaver! It allows you to put in a branch and then forget about it when it comes to getting the next branch. Always keep an ax on your chipper to chop down smaller branches.

Love this wood chipper. I thought it would make things easier and it looks like I'm getting good results. Haven’t replaced the blades yet, great machine! Regular maintenance is important for any piece of equipment if you want it to last.

In my opinion, a disc chipper performs better than a drum chipper when working with hardwoods. If you have any filament or fibrous material such as palm trees, a drum chipper will be the best. I've found that maintaining it isn't a difficulty either. You just need to periodically remove the top chute, unlock the lower top, remove clogged coverings, and check that the blade area is clear.

It's a good machine. To prolong its life I limit and alternate feeding leafy/twiggy material, after feeding a lot of leafy/twiggy material I always replace with sturdier woody material, this helps blow off the chute and keep Its clean. So periodically send in something woodier, like a thick limb, to create actual pieces and blow off any small ones.
